Carmen Jeanette Stepek
Carmen studied and simulated quantum systems as a visiting researcher while living in Dublin during the summer of 2019. She is currently completing her final year at California State University Channel Islands. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics and Mathematics. Carmen recently submitted a project proposal to investigate mitochondrial dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease and ALS with interests in the discovery and development of therapies for a range of neurological disorders. Carmen is currently pursuing a Ph.D. using systems medicine to integrate experimental and computational approaches to clinical research at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin.
