Jamil Khalouf-Rivera

Jamil studied the Bachelor's degree in Physics at the University of Seville, choosing the field of Atomic, Molecular and Nuclear Physics. Once he completed it, he got the Master's degree in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Granada, domain of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics.  There he started getting familiar with Lie Groups and Algebras, and with the concept of Quantum Phase Transitions. Jamil completed his PhD at the University of Huelva under the supervision of Francisco Pérez-Bernal and Miguel Carvajal studying Ground-State and Excited-State Quantum Phase Transitions in the molecular bending spectra. During the PhD he spent six months at the University of Padua studying endohedral systems.
About the professional experience, Jamil obtained many fellowships and he worked as part-time teaching assistant at the University of Huelva. After finishing his PhD, he continued working studying Quantum Phase Transitions at the University of Seville. Finally, he received a Margarita Salas fellowship that allowed him to move to Dublin and join to the QuSys group.
